NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a local, state, or federal agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service intended for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The resource points visitors toward Yakima County and Washington criminal record offices. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This private reference site is independent from government. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve them, conduct an official check, or submit documents for a user.
Its function is to identify the custodians of Yakima County records, including the sheriff, the courts, Washington State Patrol, and the Washington Sex Offender Public Registry, while also providing links to outside research tools. Executive-agency access follows the Washington Public Records Act; court records use their own court rules.
2. Rules for Using This Site
By using the site, you agree not to:
- Use automated bots or scrapers against the pages
- Violate federal, Washington, or local law
- Stalk, intimidate, threaten, or harass another person
- Make hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions from site content
- Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
- Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information obtained here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct can violate the law. RCW 4.24.550 governs public sex offender notification, and Yakima County warns that threatening, violent, or destructive misuse can lead to prosecution. Registry information exists for public safety awareness, not vigilante acts or unlawful blacklisting.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not produce consumer reports, background checks, or credit reports. The same is true of services offered here by advertising partners. Data from this site or a linked tool must not be used to:
- Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
- Evaluate a rental or housing application
- Make an employment decision
- Determine eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
- Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose
A legally regulated purpose requires an appropriate official process through Washington State Patrol or a compliant consumer reporting provider.
5. No Legal Advice
Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Yakima County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, vacation, or sealing rule applies to one person. Consult a licensed Washington attorney for legal advice.
6. No Warranties
All content and services are provided "as is." We make no promise that:
- A partner search result will be accurate or complete
- Every page is current, complete, or error free
- The site will remain continuously available
- The service has no bug, error, or security weakness
Criminal record status can change as charges are filed or dismissed and records are vacated, sealed, or corrected. Gaps and delays are possible. Nothing published here is an official statement by a court, sheriff, or other government office.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court systems, Washington agencies, legal resources, and outside search providers. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their availability, prices, content, or data practices. Read the destination's own terms before use.
8. Intellectual Property
Yakima County Criminal History or its content partners owns the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, alter, or create derivative material from that content.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from use of the site, its information, or a linked service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from a claim, action, or demand caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.
11. Governing Law
Washington law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Washington. Washington criminal-history dissemination is addressed in chapter 10.97 RCW.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms at any time. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted here.
13. Cutting Off Access
We may restrict or end access at any time, without advance notice and for any reason.
14. Severability
If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited only as needed to make it enforceable.
15. Questions
Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
